Things you should consider before getting a new boiler

If you are based in North Walsham, or any surrounding area such as Norwich, Sheringham, Cromer or Holt, and you are contemplating getting your boiler replaced for a newer model, then there are a few things that you'll need to consider. Midwood Heating have outlined a few of these factors, so continue reading below to find out how to best prepare before replacing your boiler. Size of Property (Type of boiler)

There are 3 main types of boiler: regular boilers, system boilers, and combi boilers. The size of your property has a direct impact on which boiler is best suited for your home. Regular boilers are the most conventional boilers on the market and are ideal for larger sized homes with older radiators installed. System boilers have an in-built pump installed, which allows you to have multiple hot showers running at once and so are ideal for homes with multiple bathrooms. While Combi boilers are known to be a great choice for smaller homes as they allow you to control hot water and heating from one singular system.

Ensure that you hire a Gas Safe Registered Engineer

It is crucial that all boiler installations are completed by a fully Gas Safe registered engineer. You will be glad to know that at Midwood Heating, all of our gas engineers are Gas Safe registered, meaning that we have completed all the necessary training and qualifications necessary to complete all boiler installations safely and to professional standards.

Brand Preference

When you're trying to decide on which new boiler would best suit your home as well as your needs, it is very important to consider which brand the boiler is manufactured by.  The reason for this is that different boiler brands tend to have disparate levels of energy efficiency. At Midwood Heating, we install both Worcester Bosch and Viessmann boilers, so you can rely on us to choose a brand that is highly efficient as well as being an affordable option.
